By far the easiest car buying experience I’ve ever had. No haggle pricing was fair. Good amount for my trade in. Their Warranty is amazing. Better price and more coverage (way more) that what our credit union was offering. The whole buying process was a breeze and how car buying should be. I was impressed and I’m telling everyone I know.

Had the best experience selling my car to CarMax in North Scottsdale. I was given the exact appraisal I received online prior to coming in. Once I arrived, the process was quick and easy and the staff was fantastic. I would definitely use CarMax again to buy or sell a car!

Everyone at this Scottsdale location was very professional and friendly. The car I bought I had shipped from CA to AZ. It took 8 days total from the time I reserved/shipped the car until it arrived and was sitting in my garage at home. I did a trade in with my current vehicle at the time. The CarMax trade in value was higher than any other dealership and even though they say the estimate expires after 7 days they still honored my original estimate when my car arrived 8 days later. The entire process was smooth and painless. I would have no hesitation doing business with CarMax again in the future if I need to.

Filled out form to sell online, told me excellent condition was 47,200, my car a 2020 Genesis G80 3.3t Sport is as good as you will find for a used car, it wouldn’t let me add the ceramic coating, ceramic tint and paint protection film that keeps the car new and costs 4K, figured when I talked to them it might add some money to value. Made appt. to go in for them to take pics and chat about car. Was told it would take 30 min for appraisal and so I left after stating the online said 47,200 so I wouldn’t expect anything under. Received a call 20 min later saying offer was 43,000, I said, what? How does the value go down 4,200? My manager said that’s a range online, I said yes, it gave 3 diff values and mine fits the excellent which Tracy the employee agreed. Carfax trade-in is 50k, retail is 54k and auction is 49k. I said the only way the value goes down is if it is a scam to get people to come in and lie to them. THAT IS WHAT THIS BUSINESS DOES, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. AS A DISABLED MILITARY WAR VET I AM APPALLED UPDATE 2/10/2022 8:51am Contacted them after generic we care response and they continued to lie and state the online doesn’t consider market value etc. I explained I worked in the car business and pulled the current market, auction, retail and by owner prices…. The 47,200 excellent condition falls inline with retail of 54k, auction of 49k where they can still make 4-7k off reselling the car. IT IS A SCAM TO GET PEOPLE TO WASTE THEIR TIME AND GO TO A STORE AND TAKE A LOWER AMOUNT THAN WHAT THEIR OWN INFO TELLS YOU ITS WORTH. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

No, you buy or sell a car to CarMax itself. If you are looking to find how much they will give you for your car, you can bring it to them and they will give you an appraisal for your car. The offer they give you is good for 7 days after that.
