Hells Canyon National Recreation Area

Canyon was great, but BE-WARE OF RAFTER'S if you have family and young kids with you. I was up there for 2 days and was mooned twice by two different groups of rafters. Also witnessed a tour boat full of family's with young kids get a full frontal moon at very close distance. The forest service need's to do something about this, no family should have to worry about their children getting exposed to rude naked rafter's.

Gettin Down Gritty

The country is absolutely beautiful, it has some very rough terrain when not on trails and what not though. You may end up seeing either elk, deer, bighorn sheep, and maybe even mountain goats too.

Awesome place, highly recommend making time for this gem. Beautiful scenery, great lakes, and wonderful vista views make this place a must see. Visit Riggins, Idaho ii's a super little town with very friendly people. Stop by and visit with Sylvia Gerber, she owns a little antique shop on the main drag as you drive into town.
