This is America’s first National Historic site. It consists of 12 structures along the waterfront including a ship and a lighthouse. There are restrooms onsite.

We legit sat here for 2 hours. They have nice lawn chairs by the water and it was stellar views. Not too loud or rowdy, it just perfect. Go, go, go!

Cool piece of history! Worth walking through and enjoying the views. I would have preferred the Ship to have its Masts installed, but I can understand the weather constraints. Great spot for pictures!

The Salem Maritime is a historic site and part of the US National Park system. The historic Derby Wharf Light Station, built in 1871 sits about 1/4 mile at the tip of the wharf. The Friendship of Salem, a 171-foot replica of the Friendship, a1797 East Indian sailing ship sits at the wharf and it's open to tourists on the weekends.
