Laptops, books, cozy spots, all available; teen spot & project read upstairs; most helpful and nice staff; art, clean bathrooms & water refills: what more could you want from the Library! 💜

This library is one of the best. The staff members are always willing to help in any way they possibly can. They are always friendly to people. They also have many quiet places to study and hang out. They have computers free to the public and printers. Would recommend this library to anyone who lives close by.

The library looks more like an art gallery with special feeling and retro feel. Multifunctional and beyond your expectations. Currently, the parking lot B is the place for watching the circus show which is fantastic and amazing. Humorous, professional, and impressive for all ages. Suggest you to try the ticket for the front row, or the last row is also a good choice to watch.

We love this library. Great staff and service, and the best books on display. Fabulous children's section too.

The Downtown and Redwood Shores libraries are open from noon to 5 pm on Sundays.
We don't have a ready made list, but if you call our children's department at 650-780-7018, ext. 9, we would be happy to provide some recommendations for you. Also, this is a good suggestion and we will work on preparing something for our website on this topic in the future. Thanks very much.
Yes, we have the basic state and federal booklets and forms in print at the Downtown Library, and any additional forms you need can be downloaded or printed from our public computers.
Thanks for the question, Bob. At this time, we are not accepting donations on a daily basis, but the Friends of the Redwood City Public Library are holding periodic "donation events" where they are accepting materials. The next one is on October 17 at 10 am, and you can find more details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/3411986932172330/. The Friends will continue to publicize upcoming donation events on their Facebook page if you can't make that particular date.
The Library is looking at the possibility of offering limited computer access with printing either outdoors or in an isolated area inside the building with physical distancing and new cleaning and sanitation procedures, but it will probably be several weeks before that happens. We are also looking to expand our wifi coverage area to make the entire large parking lot next to the Downtown Library a free open wifi hotspot. In the meantime, as Mireya mentioned, Fed Ex Office stores offer computers for rental.
Thanks, Patter. The Redwood City Public Library does not have a subscription to Axis 360, but San Mateo County LIbraries does. If your library card number starts with 29041, then you can reach SMCL staff for assistance at https://smcl.org/get-in-touch/. If your card number starts with 29045, then you will not have access to Axis 360, but you can access eBooks through Overdrive/Libby or Hoopla from https://www.redwoodcity.org/departments/library/downloadables. I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance from RCPL, you can reach us by phone or email via https://www.redwoodcity.org/departments/library/rcpl-info/contact-us. -Derek W, RCPL
