Repaired my shoes earlier than I expected. Need to support this craftsmanship; my most comfortable shoes deserve to be repaired.

Wonderful people and service! I found this shop through a search for "shoe repair" and decided to try it out. I'm glad I did. The people who own it are very helpful and kind. As is generally typical for mom-and-pop stores, the prices are a little higher than you might find at chain stores, but then I don't know of any chain stores that offer shoe repair! My first visit, I went to ask about polish and protection for some new boots and ended up buying some inserts for knee-high boots. Again, costlier than I might find elsewhere, but up till that moment, I didn't even know if such a product existed, and not only did they have some in, they were the last on the shelf. The next time I went, I brought a pair of boots to be re-heeled. The lady gave me the option of when to pick it up, which I thought was great because I could fit the pick up into my schedule instead of having to shuffle my schedule around their pick-up time. The amount was exactly what was quoted, and my boots looked great! I definitely recommend this store. Oh, and I've gone now three times, and I've never had a problem with homeless begging or hanging around as some in their reviews have mentioned (which, I admit, rather threw me off the desire to go here at first).

If you want to experience old-world craftsmanship, by someone who really cares about his craft, come to this establishment. My wife had two pairs of shoes in need of small repairs that could be accomplished with a bit of glue (the cost of labor would have exceeded the value of the shoes). The proprietor patiently examined the shoes and explained what type of glue was needed for the job. He also patiently explained how to do the repairs. When we were buying the small bottle of glue, he went to the back of his own initiative, to retrieve a piece of sandpaper, which he threw in at no additional charge. With pride, he showed us a pair of shoes that he had repaired using the glue we were buying. It was obvious to us that he really cares about his craft and about his customers. It is not often around here these days to witness this level of craftsmanship and customer service, on the part of both husband and wife. We hope you're able to continue the business for many years to come.

Their expertise is up to par. For suede boots he gave me an honest opinion, even if he had option to take my money. I noticed they also sell "touch up" products to use as needed, sell purses, wallets and luggage possibly refinished. I'm pleased with their work done in the past with shoes and boots.
