Silver Cloud takes in & gives the best possible care to cats that others would turn away, be they older, sick or a kitty that others see as "unadoptable." The cats are all well taken care of and, when appropriate, are adopted into loving homes. Cathy, the founder, carefully screens all adoption applicants to make sure that they will provide a great home for the kitty. There are literally hundreds of cats right now living their best lives and providing their humans with love & companionship because of Silver Cloud.

We adopted our two kitties from Silver Cloud and have since gotten to know the organization even better. Their mission of stewardship and care of kitties who are in need is truly heartfelt. Animals that would slip through the cracks at conventional shelters find the love and security that they deserve through the sanctuary. Keep up the good work!

Silver Cloud cat sanctuary is a wonderful asset to Walla Walla and the surrounding communities. They take in the seniors and the sick cats that most shelters don't have the resources to help. Recently they took in almost FIFTY cats from a shelter that was closed down for horrible conditions. Those cats will be nursed back to health, neutered and if possible, found loving homes. When a senior feral in the colony I help take care of got very sick, Cathy helped me with advice and I caught him and cared for him until a spot opened at the sanctuary. Unfortunately he got worse and my vet wasn't sure how to help. Cathy authorized me to transfer him to her vet and assumed responsibility for him. They couldn't save him, but thanks to Cathy and Silver Cloud, he was given every possible chance. Cathy has rescued hundreds of cats who might not have otherwise had a chance. She thoroughly vets potential adopters and makes sure that the cats are going into the best possible home. The ones who are too sick or unadoptable for whatever reason, live out the rest of their lives lovingly cared for in the sanctuary. I have been to the sanctuary several times assisting in transporting cats from other agencies and the cats are all happy and well cared for. There are many cats with chronic health conditions there, but they are as healthy as is possible. Thank you for everything you do for the kitties. And thank you for trying so hard to help Charlie.

This rescue is an awesome, well organized and thoughtful rescue. The owner moves mountains to make sure all of the cats and kittens that have come through her program are adopted to loving safe indoor homes. She has many incredible fosters who help get the cats/kittens ready for adoption. While the main center has the older, handicapped, or terminal cats. She cares for them giving them love, (sometimes their first time experiencing the gentleness of a loving touch). They are loved deeply, fed well, kept safe and warm indoors (unless they want to wander out to the enclosed catios that are not able to escape from for their own safety. ) Silvercloud is a non profit, that is strictly funded by caring donors. I would trust my own cats to no other rescue. When or if I pass before my cats do. I know she would take them in and find loving homes for them. So if your looking for a genuine caring animal sanctuary to adopt from look no further.
