The activity Director went above and beyond to encourage my Mom to participate in the activities. She took the time to get to know her, and she had the patience to let Mom participate on her terms

My husband came home from the hospital after spending 4 1/2 long months there. He was on life support twice and needed to relearn many things. The hospital made a referral to Salmon on the day of discharge Tuesday, June 29th. Salmon called me the next afternoon and said there would be a nurse here within a couple of days to evaluate him. NO ONE came! On Friday a voice mail was left that wanted to know if we were still interested in home care. I returned the call and said we definitely wanted it. Today is now July 7th and we still haven’t heard a word. I find this so disgusting as a nursing agency not to make even one visit to someone in need of services. At this point we are no longer interested in their services and if needed we will go elsewhere and I will tell everyone I know about your customer care and (non) service!

My son has needed VNA since September 2020 when he had gangrene in his foot and ended up losing 4 toes. The doctor ordered visits three days per week. Elizabeth and Jen were his two main nurses who were very good, however, the administrative and the man with the answering service were less than acceptable. One of the nurses who came on a Saturday came into my house as if our house was not sanitary. She even told me I needed to buy my own scissors for her to use because she didn’t want to clean her own scissors each time. There were times where we sat here all day waiting for a nurse that never showed but the office never called to let us know they wouldn’t be here. Finally found out they had a scheduling problem. I tried to call several times to advise the nurses not to come because my son was back in the hospital but the man with the answering service would not take the message. I was told to call back in the morning. However, the lady I had spoken with was very sweet and professional. I have worked with many VNA’s since 1993 but never had such a terrible experience.
