Beautiful spot to camp, hosts are awesome. Hikes are really nice and the group campground is spacious. Definitely coming back.

Well maintained campground with clean restroom and water sources. As of July 2022, there is still construction being done on some sites to construct gazebos but there are still lots of open lots.

Fantastic place to camp at. beautiful Skies, beautiful scenery, very well kept up. pitted bathrooms are very clean. camp hosts are very nice. I highly recommend this place to history Buffs.

No hook up. Water has been shut off. They do have nice, clean, bathrooms and camp grounds are beautiful.
I would be guessing too, but would have to agree that there is probably no host there now. However, if I were travelling in that area, I might try to see if the campsites are accessible. I don't remember there being a gate. There is BLM land at lower elevation west of I25, N & S of Socorro.
There's an RV park in Pie Town, ~25 miles away, that has showers open to the public from 8am-8pm.
That late in the season you'll probably be ok to not reserve, but it doesn't hurt to. Fees are a very reasonable $5 for a standard site per night.
