I would have given it a 5 had it not been a bit disappointing in several very important areas. We went together and we have been in the past when they had more animals. There were multiple exhibits that didn’t work at all. That was disappointing but not as disappointing as seeing the bird they have with rough looking tail feathers in a small cage. It made me sad and I walked by multiple times throughout the time we were there and it never moved from its spot. It just seemed depressing to see it that way and then the turtles seemed really cool until I realized the 3rd turtle was probably dead seeing as how it’s back legs were sticking straight out in the back. This turtle may have been a fake turtle statue but if it was there was no rock for the turtles to get on to get out of the water and like all of the areas the space they had wasn’t really enough. We went outside thinking there would be animals outside but it looked like a ghost town. It claims they have a nature trail and they do however I’m not so sure they have even checked on that area in awhile seeing as how there seemed to be a tent set up that someone might have put up. We felt like it would be a bad idea to go to it so we turned back around. An area where animals use to be had broken glass so we knew animals hadn’t been there for awhile. I don’t like to leave reviews like this but I feel it’s important to spread awareness on the matter in hopes that things can get better. I can’t help but wonder though if the reason they no longer had animals there was because they hadn’t taken well enough care of them. I’m hoping I’m wrong but seeing the outside area how it was and seeing the bird and dead looking turtle made me worry. Other than that the shows were very cool and all of the stuff that worked was great for the kids. Definitely a fun place to go aside from the issues with the animals.

It really depends on the day you visit. We've been twice in the past 3 weeks. The first visit was great. However, on our last visit, there were at least 4 large Summer Care groups visiting plus Kaleideum has childcare. It was way over crowded. I would not have visited on this day had I known. I did try to call before we came, but no one answered. We did enjoy the molecule presentation.

We always have a wonderful visit here, and this time did not disappoint! We went on a rainy weekday, so we didn't do any of the outdoor activities, but we especially enjoyed all the winter themed additions they had in the front lobby (pretend ice skating, ice fishing, snowmen and snowballs). It is normally not very crowded on weekdays, and we had the planetarium all to ourselves for our tour of the solar system. By the way, the man who runs that program is really great! He makes the experience fun, interactive and educational- I definitely recommend it! We look forward to coming back for another visit!

Excellent place to take children. Lots to do! They have an assortment of animals, like snakes, spiders, birds, and some really cool and interactive science exhibits!
