I feel we were steered wrong. In September of 2000, we purchased a leather recliner and a couch for our 3 season room. We specifically were looking for a fabric on the couch that would wear well, as we had had a bad experience with wear on another couch. We made this very clear, yet the fabric now looks horrible…and we rarely use the room or the couch from November to March during the cold months nor do we have children at home. We love the chair, but the couch looks decades old. Buyer beware.

The staff was helpful and courteous. I found what I needed quickly and bought it. I took the offer to pick my furniture myself from the warehouse instead of paying for delivery. I got excellent customer service there as well. Overall, I like my purchase and the experience was very good.

Probably the best furniture buying and delivery experience my wife and I have had in 30-plus years! We live in Roanoke, VA, 2 hours away, and I would choose to work with Bowen over most of our local furniture stores and especially over the Roanoke one that markets on a "grand" scale (pun-intended). Prices were far more competitive, sales and service more professional and friendly - and less pushy, and even delivery was less expensive (and better quality) than the aforementioned local giant's so-called white glove delivery. We did two different major purchases, including Bowen's help to chase down remaining stock on a discontinued set, and both purchase experiences were outstanding!
