Nice way to discover the mountain without taking all day. You drive up to the visitor center followed by a walk to the summit. Dress well because it gets windy. Down fall is lack of facilities (no bench or tables either at the gate or near the visitor center) and the very high price.

Wonderful hike, a bit technical and rocky so wear good hiking shoes.

$28 per car (includes driver)+ $9.95 per passenger and kids under 5 are free. The visitors center on top was closed. Portable bathrooms available. Hike on top (white blaze) worth it I’m sure but it was really foggy lol. Still pretty nice. Wear layers on cold days (35 and windy) opens at 930am. No paper map available so use all trails app.

The drive was nice, but on a busy day, expect to wait at the bottom, halfway up and again at the lower parking lot before making your way to the top lot. We went on a beautiful fall day, 9/27, and it was about a 20 minute wait at each stop before being able to proceed, due to a limited amount of parking space at the top. Give yourself plenty of time.

There are views from the parking lot at the end of the toll road. Not as good as the ones from the chin but they are still very nice.
Mt Mansfield is within the Vermont State Forest land and therefore considered a state park
There is a toll you must pay at the base of the toll road, $26 + $9.50 per passenger. The toll booth closes at 4:30
The cost is per person within car. If you're looking to drive up the toll road, rates are found on the Stowe website. Specifically here for 2019: https://www.stowe.com/explore-the-resort/activities-and-events/auto-toll-road.aspx
$23 plus $8 for each additional passenger (kids under age 5 are free.)
