Our second favorite state park in UTAH! Absolutely gorgeous with hiking trails straight from camp. There is also horseback riding at the campground it is run by Red Canyon Trial rides at the Kodachrome trail ride horse stables on sight, we highly recommend doing this we picked a 2hr ride and it was worth it all. Go early in the morning to beat the heat!! The campground also has a laundry mat though it’s about half a mile away from the campground. There is laundry soap you can buy and a quarter machine. The visitor center has fresh hand scooped ice cream and a few other food options as well as a nice little gift shop. The one thing is there is absolutely ZERO cell service in the campground (which I enjoy, though some may not). 10/10 would stay here again!

We stayed at Kodachrome for 3 nights while visiting Zion and Bryce NP. It was a great stay. The park store had souvenirs as well as drinks and ice cream (which was nice after a long hot summer day!) The staff were all very friendly. The showers felt luxurious for a state park- what a treat! They also had a very clean and nice laundromat which was great for us on a long road trip. They also have a disc golf course which my husband loved! We didn’t have time to go on any hikes, but we did drive around and it was so beautiful. It was nice to come here after a crowded day at the national parks and feel like you have the views to yourself. Two of the loops are on gravel roads and only have a vault toilet. Try to get the full hookup loop if possible (it’s more scenic, has a paved road, and it’s where the showers are). Thank you Kodachrome for a great stay!

One of our favorite stops from our week exploring Zion, Bryce, and Escalante. The formations here include the unique sandpipes, truly odd phenomena! The short nature trail is great, the camping areas looked like they'd be really good, and there are many walks to choose from - we really enjoyed the Angels Parade trail!

Gorgeous red rock everywhere you look. All the hiking trails are loops which is really nice. The Grand Parade trail was just short enough for 2- 10yr old girls, a Chihuahua and Weimaraner. This trail follows the base of the hoodoos for a ground level view. We would have done the panorama trail if we had enough time. The nature trail was fun and informative. There is camping, dry cleaning, restrooms, horse riding all in the park. Book early for camp sites. BLM land surrounds the park and camping is free there. Follow all dispersed camping rules and watch fire restrictions.

As long as your dog remains on a leash, yes you are allowed to bring your dog. I brought mine.
Shelli, I noticed info corroborating you reply. This must be a relatively recent change. It used to close when they could not keep the facilities going -- around November.
Yes in the bathrooms and if you have an RV there are full hook ups.
