Very beautiful place to go for a hike, run, or even biking! It is a dog friendly place and there are tons of different trail heads to choose from.

Beautiful hike! Feels like you gain a bit of elevation on the way out but coming back is easy. Reminds me of where I grew up in the Sierra foothills

Absolute favorite hike. I've hiked Mt. Nebo, Lone Peak, Olympus, and various hikes across the country but I've always loved Yellow Fork Canyon I've been hiking their for 7 years and always find something new everytime I'm there.

No ATVs. This is a trail for hikers and horses. Mountain bikes are OK, but it's pretty rough terrain for a bike.

Not supposed to take machines w engines up there. Also, you couldn't fit it past the gates. There are ways to get into the backside areas. City canyon, Lang Park etc. But you'd need to know someone with access from their property. Juice ain't worth the squeeze though. You'd see everything there is to see in a couple hours on a quad. It's a great area for mountain bikes though.

What trails would I want to start on?

Tyler Lansing | Jul 27, 2020
Joshua Taylor | Jul 28, 2020

Just walking through the gate and going up the dirt road is nice. That takes you through the bottom of the canyon, which is the most wooded. There are a number of side trails (single track) off of that road you can explore as you get more familiar with the area. If you continue long enough on the road you'll end up at the overlook and can take trails back down.

Can you fish off the river that's there?

thomas | Jul 28, 2019
Don Rushing | Jul 29, 2019

There is only a small creek that only flows all year depending on the amount of moisture on that year. And even on high moisture years a frog could jump across. No fish in the creek.

What kind of trail is it? Dirt or gravel? Can I wear my teva sandals and be comfortable?

Wear shoes. There are weeds, bugs and snakes.
