Wear shoes. There are weeds, bugs and snakes.

It depends on where you hike, but I personally wouldn't wear Tevas up there partly for dust and also for protection from cactus that are on the ridges. I wear hiking shoes or boots.

The trail is dirt and can get very dusty. I wouldn't wear sandals on this trail. Some of the loops do have rocky areas.

I walk it with flip flops.. if you are used to walking in them you will be ok

What they said: no to sandals. Dusty and plenty of horse poop at the start of the trail, rocky and weedy at the top.
