This was my second appointment at Anita Kurl and he did an amazing job with 2 very different requests. I felt heard and respected. He always answers every question and is kind, funny, and realistic! I have now visited Anita Kurl a few times in the past two weeks for a curl education as well as a curly cut. The stylists that worked on my hair were Jorden and Kandace, they were so talented as well as compassionate. I’ve been having some concerns with my hair; they took the time to listen to me and were so kind & gentle with my hair, as they helped me to resolve any issues that I had. Everyone, including the ladies at the front (Kylie & Shonda), brought great positive energy and made this a very comfortable environment. This was my first time getting a curly cut and my hair is so much softer, shinier, bouncier, and well shaped as a result. I also feel so much more confident!! Prices were reasonable for the outcome. I would highly recommend AnitaKurl to anyone looking to get their curls taken care of!! Truly appreciate their help.

I made my March appt back in December 2021 because it seemed they were so booked, and it was moved a few times because they had different hair stylists working. It's okay - understandable, it happens. However, I wasn't very happy with my experience. My cut was done by Mikaela, and was not bad. But it was very rushed. On their website, it says a Curly Haircut takes 1hour-2hours. My whole process was 35 minutes. I was the last person of the day, and the feeling I got when I sat down was " let's just do this client's hair as fast as possible so I can go home." I was not told what Ouidad products were being put in my hair (shampoo, conditioner, leave-in, creams). But I think I saw her only putting the Heat & Humidity Gel, but not 100% on this. When the drying process came, it was very hot and uncomfortable, and when she was using the hair dryer, it was hitting my forehead and scalp multiple times. It was definitely not gentle and again, very rushed. When you go to a salon, it's expected that you will style someone's hair way better than they can do at home. It was a bit frizzy and not styled the best. I'm sorry, but I won't be coming back here or referring anyone.
