First salon I feel comfortable in. I see Chika everytime. She is welcoming, efficient, listens to my wants and does great work. The shampoo sesh is always amazing I have to really try not to fall asleep because I'm so relaxed! Highly recommend.

I visited Salon Defi recently for a haircut with Jack and could not have asked for a better experience. It was very straightforward to make an appointment online and to find the location, and the salon itself is very lovely and clean. Jack listened carefully to my preferences and went above and beyond in giving me a wonderful haircut - it's one of the best I've ever gotten! He was also very knowledgeable and shared with me a lot of advice on how to better care for my hair and scalp. Thank you to everyone at Salon Defi and I hope to be back again soon!

Jack is definitely a professional hairstylist. I love my short haircuts every time I get. Maybe he has his own character, which doesn't affect his superb skills at all. It is not difficult to know that people have completely different standards when expressing their manners or tone. I am grateful to have such a true Japanese hair salon in Boston. Mizu course is ideal for those looking to avoid hair damage from chemicals used during a color or perm process. The color/perm is applied using an imported, specialized Japanese steam machine throughout the process in order to prevent further damage to the hair. After the color/perm, the hair is thoroughly washed of all chemicals. While using the Japanese steam machine, three kinds of treatments are applied to the hair to minimize any frizz or damage as well as provide ample moisture (we use the MILBON SMOOTH or ANTI-FRIZZ series). Women's perm and hair cut doesn't include those treatment. Thank you.
