My dog had an appointment for grooming on 07/16/2022 11:30am at Tikahtnu Alaska with Shawna G and when I arrived at PetSmart the employees were rude to me. The grooming salon is incredibly unprofessional. They refused to take my dog because I have the vaccination document written in Spanish. I got my vaccination in Puerto Rico (part of USA, there are PetSmart there too) and they say they do not take that. The woman who helped me I believe was the manager, she gave me attitude because the vaccination was in Spanish. She gave me no options. I feel discriminated by PetSmart because of my ethnicity. I have never felt this way before, they could not find any solution to accommodate my dog, they just told me they cannot help me because of the language. They lost me as a costumer and I have always done all my services there, my dogs even did the training there. I have been a long customer of PetSmart without problems. There were not apologies or follow up with me. They just let me go unsatisfied.

Some staff are very kind and helpful but some are not. They also are hard to find when questions or products needed. Seems understaffed and perhaps this is why there can be some employees that aren’t that friendly or able to help. Store does carry a lot of products.

Stay away from Shawna's hands!!! From the moment I came-in the bad attitude was present and it was almost like she doesn't want to be there. She was very rude and unprofessional. I have been a long customer of Petsmart without problems, but this representative left me with a bad taste in my last visit and I'm not planning on coming back. If you have to use Petsmart grooming services stay away from Shawna!!!
