I also had a bad experience with window install from Lowes. They only use one subcontractor for all of their jobs, and the subcontractor did not do the work correctly. Lowes gave us a lot of lip service on how they'd correct it, but they never did. After 8 months, we gave up. Don't use Lowes for window install.

Do NOT use Lowe's for window order and installation. I ordered in June; they arrived in NOVEMBER. Then, the install was sooooooo bad. The day after the install, I told the Lowe's rep; he came out, and assessed that the work was shoddy and my house was damaged. Here it is June, and the issue is STILL not resolved. Terrible, terrible, terrible. You are welcome to contact me if you want more info.

Good lumber/hardware store. Pretty good customer service, not too bad prices, and sometimes they have really good clearance sales. Sometimes though there are huge wait times in lines with only one register open... or if you are picking up order it takes quite a while for them to "find" your order...
