This one star review is because of the actions of the manager. I worked at a very popular, well known ice cream store for many years. Tonight we went out for my husband’s birthday to get ice cream. The girl scooping the ice cream accidentally broke the waffle cone. She called over the manager for help. The manager stood there and proceeded to put the broken pieces of the cone back on and then gets a dish. When she goes to hand it to me, she says, well you are going to eat it anyway so it doesn’t matter. In all of my years working at an ice cream store I never once questioned remaking an ice cream cone on one that broke! The right thing to do would have been to give me a new cone. We paid extra for that waffle cone in the first place. I ended up having to dump the ice cream in a large cup and he had to wait to eat it until he got home. The manager should be thinking about the product that goes out the window but just pushing out whatever so she can make a buck.
