I posted a review after making my first purchase at this shoo. Months later, I learned that the item I purchased was for a different vehicle than mine. It had been marked incorrectly. I feared that I'd be given a hard time trying to return it after so many months had passed. Much to my surprise, the return was honored and the refund issued without question. The owner is a righteous dude.

I am so impressed by the owner of this shop for discontinuing to sell assault rifles in his store! I heard about Craig McDermott from NBC5 : "The owner of a small business in central Vermont has changed his policy around assault-style rifles — no longer selling them following the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas and another investigation that hit close to home. At Gold And Silver Thrift, a pawn shop in Barre, owner Craig McDermott still stocks pistols and hunting rifles — but he said he is no longer dealing in assault-style semiautomatic weapons." Anyone that is going to step forward to protect Vermont and to be a leader in encouraging other gun shops to follow him, has got a vote from me! If I'm ever in the market for a small pistol for personal protection, I'm going to Golf & Silver Thrift first. Thank you, Craig, for making a difference!

I bought a higher ticket item at the shop today and working with Craig the owner was a pleasure. We had to have a few different conversations regarding the item and he was always super easy to work with, honest, and made himself available after hours for questions. I also noticed his interactions with the other customers in the shop while I was there. He knew everyone by name and has seemed to of built great business relationships with his customers in our community. Being business owners ourselves, we appreciate when someone goes above and beyond which is why I am taking the time to do this review.
