People were super helpful and every care provider made time to listen to my needs. For years ive been trying to get help for back issues. This is the firat place that actually seemed to figure out what the probem is. Just amazing
ArmyVet Jolly
Much better then going to the main hospital. Hopefully they add more services but it's a great clinic with great staff and doctors

Went for my appointment today and was told I can't come In i have the wrong mask on. This is the same mask I came in with last week and I goto the main hospital every week with and have never had an issue till today the lady at the entrance was extremely rude. I asked to speak to her supervisor an hour ago and was told I have to wait outside where it's actually chilly and affecting my scars and causing pain.
GJF Tampa
The very best of the VA operates out of this Hidden gem offering phenomenal care, friendly staff, caring physicians, dentists to the greeters at the front entrance. (Dr. Moore, Combat Vet Nurse Ron, Dr. Patel) in dental do their very best to offer vets the best! VA care 100% of the time. They have nothing to sell you on during your visit as their focus is YOU the patient and not some healthcare profit center down the road. If you're a VET and leave a one star for this facility then you need to FIX that as the people serving those who served need to KNOW that they're doing their BEST sometimes under difficult circumstances

JAH RMC has a 24 hours ER, you should go there today to ensure you receive medical treatment, xrays are also available
Im pretty sure if you speak to your primary care person before you leave they'll set it all up for you. Mine has as I travel frequently. Aside from that, as long as you have or can access your seperation papers, ye olde Dd 214, you can bring those to any VA and they will help you. Having a copy saves time if you need medical care.
Contact dental at the primary care and give them your info. I do not have any thing to do with dental so I can not actually answer the question.
You can apply and receive assistance at the main hospital, there are several organizations (non-VA) available to assist you and represent your case to the VA as well. All are free although you might feel compelled to join one of these post military organizations (VFW, etc).
Call Eligibility at the JAHVA 813.972.2000 ext 5902 or 1719 or call the PCA eligibility at 813.998.8000 opt 4
No, they have a separate facility for that on 46th street. You have to have a referral to be seen. I waited 6 months for my first appointment...
Yes you can. You can get 1 at any VA facility by going to your team & requesting it.
Nope. Same DD214 as regular army
No this location doesn't. The ER is located at the main facility at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd
The audiology department is at a different location, but they do hearing tests and provide hearing aids as well as batteries and maintenance. Don't have the address for it but appointments can be made thru your primary care provider
You can sign up for benefits online at www.eBenefits.va.gov but your card has to be done onsite as stated in the previous response and it will be mailed to you. Hope that helps.
Any US veteran will be seen at any VA medical facility at the emergency room.
No. Also this a primary care facility. However, contact eligibility at 813-972- 2000 ext 1710 to see if you do qualify for any benefits.
Or go to the VA ER
That question can only be answered by the person that's scheduled your appointment for 7:15. My personal thought on the matter is... You have an awesome question and somebody should answer it. I like to see what the answer is...
I've been going to this hospital since 2006, I had 20 two major surgeries haven't seen buy every type of orthopedic specialist, neurology, heart specialist, Podiatry, psychology, lungs and rheumatoid specialist. And the 12 years I've been seeing there everything I ever been through been above-average so one saying this all because I think everybody in this Hospital including the rehab in the SEI building and the Rehab on 42nd Street in Tampa. Every aspect of this Hospital is incredible especially Rehab on the third floor in the SDI building cuz I had 6 total replacements and my body. Even the emergency room is top-notch they saved my life once. So have a vote of confidence no matter what neurologist you see you see in the best of the best because that's what James A. Haley veterans hospital is all about housing The Best of the Best.
No, that's all on 46th St as far as I know.
