Terri who is over admissions, is an angel sent by God! She was so compassionate with me when I cried to her about my parents. Her love for the Elderly and people in need is for real! She had my parents picked up from an Assisted Living that was not able to care for them anymore and moved them right in to this little heaven on earth. From day one all the nurses, med techs and staff have been amazing to talk too and extremely caring towards by parents needs. I absolutely love this place and would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you Harbourwood Nursing Center 😀 We love you!!!!

My family had a horrible experience here! My mom had three falls from her wheel chair , the third leaving a horrible place on her head and hand. When we came to visit during Christmas holiday with family, she only had on a top and depends and her teeth weren’t in her mouth. My mom always took a lot of pride in how she looked and dressed.Nobody knew where her dentures were. They simply said they were temps. Don’t know how they expected her to chew (she had to be fed and had trouble chewing as it was). When dinner came, it was a piece of meat with veggies. When asked, the nurse said she would put in for a soft food diet. The next day was a sloppy joe. Ask again and the person said she didn’t know she was just a temp. Found the nurse that put in order and she didn’t know why that happened and would put order in again. Next day same thing. Last day there, they had put her in wheelchair and had her pushed into a table where her hands couldn’t move. Found out another “temp” didn’t know she was suppose to remain in bed. Found out the lady that shared her room tested positive for covid due to one of the nurses testing positive after I returned home and Harborwood would not answer their phones. I told the receptionist that I was going to keep calling until someone talked to me and was told they were discussing what to do and would call back. They informed me they were transferring the people out that tested positive but not sure that was true . I was planning on returning and the nurse Christina assured me I had time to get there. She died the next day. They stored her belongings . I called Christina to tell her I was coming for her luggage and when I got there, no one could find it. Stayed in town couple of days longer and they kept giving me run around or wouldn’t call back. Finally texted Terri Bolander threatening to bring in news media when finally got a call and learned was trashed during the weekend! This place will tell you everything you want to hear BUT will never respond back to you. Was told not much in the luggage anyway by Christina. But was important to us. She had a watch that she never took off and a special painting, blanket my daughter gave her etc. we also had several photos on the board we will never see again. It was important to us! Now I feel so guilty thinking she was being taken care of 😞My family regrets the day mom was admitted. Her final days were not pleasant and she did not receive the care that Harborwood said would be given.

10/22/21 Absolutely WOULD NOT recommend this rehab/nursing to anyone!!! My grandmother who is almost 91 with mild dementia was living in an Assisted living villa up until last week when she had a fall and broke her hip. She had surgery right away and after many thorough conversations of my grandmas current health condition we were told by Terri they could definitely accommodate her. We explained up front that since she had the surgery her dementia had gotten worse but were told by Terri as well as many other nurses in the hosp. and doctors that this does normally happen to people of her age and that it sometimes takes 30 days for the anesthesia to wear off. My grandma has good moments & then moments where she is very confused and ornery post surgery. We were told they could definitely accommodate her (they also had records from her hospital stay that they reviewed before accepting her) and Terri even told us they do not use them very often but can put alarms on her bed and padding on the floor in case she got confused and tried to get up on her own as she had one incident in the hospital right after surgery where she tried to get out of bed. My mom received a call at 11:00 today from the ER at a local hospital that they had my grandma and did not have any history nor paperwork on her. All they were given was my moms phone number, the hospital did not even know where she had come from. HarbourWood did not even have the decency to call or text my mom or I to let us know they were sending my grandma to the hospital and we have phone records to prove this. I called and spoke to the Administrator Carlos and he didn't know anything about it, he looked up her records and said they sent her to the hospital as they were unable to meet her needs. They sent my grandma to the hospital without any of her clothes or dentures. My mom was told, she did not receive a call as they did not have her information which is completely false as Terri had been texting my mom and I both the day before multiple times, also my mom filled out paperwork upon her arrival there yesterday with all her information. Since my grandma was in a very confused state of mind from the anesthesia, pain from the surgery and all the changes she's been through they said they could not accommodate her there, therefore they sent her back to the hospital. Not only did they put her in an ambulance and send her back to the hospital with no history at all, they sent her to a different hospital from where she had had the surgery by mistake.

This truly is a hidden gem! I found nothing wrong with this place. I placed my mother here for a 5 day respite and when I picked her up, she was very happy and content, right where she was. The staff was welcoming and professional. There were no lingering unpleasant odors. My Mom was clean, dressed, warm and alert. She had a visitor and they were also pleased with this facility. It was a great experience and I recommend this facility for your love ones. Thank you for the peace of mind!
