Beautiful gardens and the Sacramento river runs through the park giving way to a huge space to explore and appreciate. The playground is outdated, but fun for older kids. Grills and picnic tables available throughout the park. Closes around 10 and the gate keeper will come around to close up, but she is always kind and pleasant.

I love little enchanting places so I added this to my Oregon trip route. Spent a couple hours admiring the perfectly chosen botanicals that delight this perfectly manicured garden. The river running through this place is meditating. I could spend a whole day here just soaking in the natural and added beauty of this place. Once you enter, pass the fountain and continue driving up. Follow the signs until you arrive to to gazebo. Park and enjoy.

We went out to enjoy the nice day after all the rain. The gardens are greening and blooming with bees galore floating amongst the flowers. The river trail is nice but make sure you have good shoes.

Questions & Answers

Are Dogs on leash allowed in the garden?

Mark Montgomery | Aug 21, 2021

Yes, as long as they are leashed, you are good. Just be kind and pick up any waste. Park is a hidden gem and a great burger place, Yaks, is right nearby. Best burgers in Northern CA.

Is it Ada accessible?

Somewhat. There are ramps to the picnic tables and playgrounds. I think there are ramps up to the "stage" area too. I think the bathrooms have accessible stalls. If you wanted to see the river up close you'd have to go down to the Tauhundali "park" which has accessible paths. The paths through the botanical gardens are not accessible friendly. Having a power chair or a manual chair with "offroad" wheels would be best as a lot of the area is dirt or low grass.
