Bayview Dental is awesome! Karissa, the dental hygienist is very friendly and thorough in dental advice conversations and cleanings. The new male receptionist at the front desk is very friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. They have a water cooler in the waiting room and it is very modern. I love dentists like this that specialize in cosmetic dentistry because I feel like they are up to date with dental equipment and it makes me feel like they are up with the times and modern. The dental assistants are all amazing as well and encouraging during tough procedures. I love this dentist office! Thank you for all the amazing visits and the clean, modern office.

Dr. Carina Canizares and Yoclyn at Bayview Dental Associates are amazing! Their caring and professionalism were evident from my very first phone call and appointment. Yoclyn answered the phone when I called with a dental emergency just before Christmas. She heard the desperation in my voice and kindly scheduled an appointment for me. Yoclyn’s sweet, cheerful demeanor is always appreciated. In addition, her understanding and reassurance have been a great comfort during subsequent visits. Dr. Canizares is straightforward and kind. I have complete confidence in her abilities and trust her recommendations. I’ve finally found a top-notch dentist and dental practice in St. Petersburg!

The dental hygienist that I have seen my last three visits is amazing. I wish I could remember her name but I’m always so nervous when I am there. Her name goes in one ear and out the other. I have a big fear of getting my teeth clean. I literally shake. My teeth/gums are very sensitive so teeth cleaning is painful for me. She is so gentle and patient with me giving me the best possible experience for someone that would choose to not go to a dentist EVER if it wasn’t a necessity. Thank you so much. Please pass this along to her if anyone from the office reads this. She is the pregnant hygienist.

Just trying to get an appointment was a mess. My wife and I were new to Saint Pete and trying to get in for an appointment for a cleaning and biannual check. We emailed our request, and the website said someone would be in touch with us, but this never happened. Multiple messages and no call back. It’s clearly a difficult time with post-Covid rushes, so I want to take that into account. A month went by, and we received a random text from an unknown number that we were scheduled for an appointment in a few days, to call and confirm. It was strange, but given the difficulty in securing an appointment, hesitantly welcome. What followed was a series of texts to my wife and I, canceling and rescheduling the appointment a number of times. She’d have an appointment or I would. Then one of us wouldn’t. Then someone at the office would call in sick and they’d be short staffed or there’d be a cancellation. All of this within a few hours the day before and the day of the appointment. Then we found out that the appointments we did secure weren’t even for the cleanings, just the new patient check in. The day of the appointment, we had to call our former dentist to get X-rays for this appointment, which we did only to have the appointment canceled. All in all, it was very ridiculous. Busy or not, there has to be a better way of managing this. These are medical professionals who are going to be responsible for mouth health, potentially operate on sensitive parts of us, and bill our insurance. Such a mess at the onset doesn’t instill trust, which is definitely necessary.
