poor, insensitive delivery communication and service.. please be prepared. at niles, oh, we purchased a refrigerator that met the needed specs. it was not in stock because the color ordered was bisque. we paid with purchase for delivery and old fridge removal, which would be 8 days later on saturday 7/30. then, we purchased bags ice as summer drags on for food and drinks left to stay cool in coolers on floor in home. delivery set for sat 7/30 between 4-8pm per automated call the day before. on day of delivery, i call lowes for more detailed delivery time or tracking on delivery truck w our fridge. lowes employee says we will get a call with day-of info giving about 45 minute notice of actual delivery. i cannot contact delivery folks since they are a third party delivery service. i need to have another person at my family member's home for delivery as she is older.. i should not have to justify why i would like to know when a refridgerator will be delivered. ok, but i am hesitant as our family needs another person there to recieve delivery.. one needing fridge is not fully independent to accept delivery with multiple delivery folks in home. i am the delivery contact, but i am at work. i miss delivery company call. they leave no voicemail, however i call them back 3 minutes later. they tell me they are 10 minutes from delivery. i ask for the stated about 45 minutes so extra person can arrive to help senior who purchased needed new fridge to home. there is a language barrier with delivery service as i ask for more notice than 10 min. as it was stated by lowes store employee we would have about 45 min notice. deliverer could not wait 45 min but could wait 20min they said or would reschedule. our family hustled to be ready. i am so so so so FRUSTRATED to say that delivery stated that they waited at address , rang doorbell, knocked .. and no one was home?!?!?! this is a pure fabrication. my senior family member was home the whole time. now, after an 8 day wait for refrigerator, we have to wait 2 more hot humid summer days for relief. i DO NOT RECOMMEND LOWES DELIVERY SERVICE!! IF YOU CAN, AVOID IT. lowes, i know you can do better. you have let me and my family down with this delivery. all that i wanted was communication on delivery time. a tracking device or more and better communication could have made this one star review a 5 slam-dunk. and i do leave great reviews for deserving companies as warranted. hello lowes.. please make this right with us lowes!!!!!

Gotta say the worker named Dave or Davey? I think that was his name was extremely helpful in the tool section. He was very knowledgeable and just great customer service! Greatly appreciated. Also was quick checkout and this Lowes has a stellar garden selection and nice healthy looking plants!!
