Nice trail, but just some flowers of Rhododenron. Expected to see more flowers but no regred, nice short hike in the woods.

A nice smaller reserve with a two mile loop hiking trails from the parking area. Nice scenery and not crowded since it is hidden about one mile from the Hwy 1.

Quiet loop hike through the woods. Rhododendrons bloom April through June, but other wildflowers are here and there. Parking is just a short drive on a gravel road from the turnoff from Highway 1.

Yes! We saw the first blooms this year on March 29, and more blossoms are opening every day. They'll likely hit their peak around the second week of May.
Nope! The park is open to the public year round. Just please be mindful of the delicate ecosystem. No campfires, no smoking during high fire risk seasons, and no picking of mushrooms or plant life. Anything you bring in with you, remember to bring it back out with you when you leave. Dogs are not allowed on the trails, but on-leash dogs are fine to walk along the road.
Not yet. They'll likely start blooming in late March or early April, reach peak bloom in May, and fade out in June.
No, camping is not allowed in the Reserve. However, there are several campsites in the adjacent Salt Point State Park and surrounding areas. Both Woodside Campground and Gerstle Cove are highly recommended.
