The pool was green. The back entry door from the parking lot was broken and the shards of glass were still on the ground. The outside sometimes smelled like weed. However, the rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were updated and fully stocked with hairdryers and towels. No weird smell, but there was a stain on the couch. It was overall an okay place to stay—it has a lot of room for improvement.

Horrible service. We weren’t allowed to stay in the room that we prepaid for and were turned away at 11PM. We now have to drive 2 hours home from an unfamiliar place. We had absolutely no place to stay and no gas. I’ll never be staying here again and advice the same for anyone else. After explaining the situation to the front desk worker, we were left without any advice on where to go or what to do. Traveling as young women is difficult enough, being left alone in the dust without anywhere to sleep makes it even more difficult- nevertheless amidst a tornado warning. We made these plans to ensure our own safety. We weren’t even offered our money back, and it seems incredibly sketchy. The manager’s/front desk worker’s name was Shaan Gandhi.

I was very disappointed in this hotel as it looked great online, but the surrounding area was sketchy. When we arrived at the hotel, it was under construction/remodel and carpet was everywhere. The pool was small and in direct view from the street and the front desk; it made us uncomfortable. The front desk lady had poor customer service. She didn’t greet us and barely made eye contact. NONE of the rooms were listed as cleaned in her system despite it being check in time. When we finally got into a room, the room was poorly cleaned. We IMMEDIATELY left. I received a paper saying I would get a full refund, but was also charged for a night. I had to question the woman about it as she tried to deny they charged me despite me showing her my bank statement in my phone. She said it should go away by tomorrow. We shall see. Either way, I will be calling if I do not receive my full refund by the end of this week.

In my opinion Comfort Inn and Comfort Inn Suites are slipping with time. They used to be a higher quality hotel to stay at. I no longer feel this way. Things such as the carpeting not being cut right and gaps at the corners, a smaller mirror installed in the bathroom when replacing the old and the perimeter of the old mirror was larger than the new and unpainted wall was left exposed instead of painting it before installing new mirror. Broken door latch on the exterior door coming from the parking lot. Yes, you needed to key in once inside the exterior door, however the doors were propped open with rocks so I kicked them outside for both the first and second floor door. There was a used washcloth under the stack of towels in our room. The only reason we found it was because I grabbed the last towel in that stack and asked if my wife was playing a joke on me when I saw it. She was not. Did we bring this up to the staff, No. It wouldn't have made a difference. You can get the feel for a hotel as soon as you walk into the room and perform a general assessment. In the future I will be using Marriot as they are at least maintaining their level of expectation and quality.
