The room was clean. Maid service was awesome. But the Complimentary break fast was just bad... They have not opened the break fast room, so you get a breakfast set for a child. Nothing hot or fresh basicly fruit loops with fat free milk, cearl bars milk and a cheese stick.. We stayed for the handy breakfast before we spent our day at the Theme parks near by. So we had to drive to a restaurant every morning before we started our day. It did not help that looking out our window we could see the people at the net Hotel eating there hot breakfast....

Last year we stayed at the Escondido Comfort Inn, it was not a 5 star but it was 100% better. This one says free breakfast but what we got was a paper bag with cereal, 6 oz milk, string cheese, and granola. Although this would be filling, it was not what was promised. Service to the room is done every three days unless front desk is called. Well, I went to the front desk because phones are no longer provided in rooms, and requested service. After a day out, we came back to a dirty room and only toilet paper was provided. What happened to hotels motto of “feel at home away from home.” At home my bed is done every day and my floors are clean! We were there We’d. through Sunday and not one day of service.

One of my rooms smelled. They said it was the cleaning stuff they used. Since I was there for one night I delt with it. The spa wasn't working and I knew that but the pool wasn't heated like I was told it was and would be. The price of the hotel was good but I guess I got what I paid for. Hahah

This property is pretty run down. Our room smelled so bad with a musky/humid smell. The curtains were stained, pain was chipping from various places. The shower curtain didn’t hold any water in so our floor would be drenched when we took showers ( had to use whichever towels we had to dry the floor up). No hot breakfast just to go bags which is ok I guess (staff was generous with what they provided). Pool itself seemed a bit dirty with no pool towels (we had none after using our room towels to dry the floor). Night manager was nice she even told us we could use the pool if we wanted to “ our hours are 8-9 but I won’t kick you guys out of your in”, we opted not to since the pool was cold and it was late anyways. Security guards were very nice and respectful. Personally, wouldn’t book here again solely for how run down the room was and that smell.
