Truly miss this preserve Along with all the beautiful people. Loved walking here regularly and visiting. Super relaxing and pleasant.

This was SO fun! Our whole family did the walk/hike. Most of path is paved, except for a few off-shoot trails. We brought our grandson in the stroller. Be sure to bring water. Lovely views of the bay. So much history here. An 1800's cementary. There is a register of all the people buried there in the mailbox outside of the gate. Very interesting and lots of fun!! Highly recommend.

Fun time exploring this historic navel base. Lots of interesting information about Mare Island. Nice nature walking trails with historical info markers.

Beautiful view and historic place. Great hiking trail. Lots of neat buildings.

No digging is allowed; given the island's history that's a really good thing.
The city of Vallejo has decided to limit handicapped access to the parking area. The way they blocked the road makes me concerned that wheelchairs could tip over when trying to get back on the road, and with no attendent on site recovery might need the fire department.
No. As far as I know, there isn't direct access to the water because the waterfront is still controlled by the Navy.
Yes, leashed dogs are allowed. Depending on the weather, there may be snakes.
Not per se: no hookups or shore power, but Myrna Hayes is the one to answer for certain.
