I will honestly say 1840 apartments has been a blessing. Despite the mixed reviews and minor issues this was a great first apartment experience. Salena and Cora were very professional and sweet the entire process.

I have lived here for years and this new management has to do better. The towing at early hours, the roach/rodent problem, the noise, etc.. The employees are good people but the the culture here is terrible. The previous owners set a standard I wish could be maintained.

I recently became a first home buyer who resided at Suburban Hills/1840 Apartments for almost 16 years. I have nothing but he sweetest memories left behind. The Christmas parties, holiday gifts left from staff on your door knobs, pool parties, cook outs, holiday best decorated, etc. door contest. These things bonded staff and residents together as a family. Staff could literally read your mind in knowing what you need or wanted which felt great. The staff and residents were like family to me, the closeness, the bonding was thick and service request were met in a timely manner, from all staff, and they always went above and beyond, always, and a job/s well done. I still feel such a heavy connection to my old stomping grounds, and I always will, and I guess that’s normal. If I was rich, I would rent an apartment back at 1840 when visiting on that end. I also took great pride in cleaning the parking lot, sometimes twice a day, and vacuuming the building once a week, jobs I did for about 15 years that old management had faith in me to prosper in. The connection old management staff created with the residents made us all feel like brothers and sisters, best friends. It will take time for new management to adjust and once they do, I'm positive they will make the resident's feel comfortable too and develop a personal/family oriented relationship with them. This type of bond keeps residents. This facility sits hidden behind and around trees which makes it so peaceful and serene. My many many many years at what is now 1840 Apartments will always live in my heart and mind forever. I have nothing but the best and beautiful memories there. I miss the old staff already and wish the new staff much success, and I will miss my neighbors I have grown to know over the years. I literally felt like i was turning my back and walking away from something I loved, but as my sister said, this is a new chapter in your life, out with the old, in with the new, but there are some memories that will forever live in my mind and my heart. I’m not going to lie, but I cried once I left everything behind and was finally moved into my new home, thinking back on the wonderful home I left behind.. As I mentioned, I still have such a heavy connection to it to my old apartment. I wish the new Staff much success in running this apartment building The few staff members I met before moving were very helpful. Carrie Tyson worked with me on an issue to help me out personally and I will never, EVER forget Carrie for that favor she and her manager blessed me with. Carrie cared and she listened with her heart and when you see that in a person over a major concern I was going through, that sticks with me forever. Carrie, Cora, have their hands full as they try to figure out the old and bring in the new. There is another new lady I never go to meet but wish her success as well, as all staffers working for 1840 Apartments. This facility is one of the best and safest apartment buildings in the region. I will and would highly recommend living here. I will be back to visit once this pandemic lifts praying it does. I also want to take this time to thank all the neighbors who truly and sincerely appreciated my line of work in keeping the grounds clean and hallways vacuumed. I did this for you too as well as me being an outdoor lover and loved being outdoors so the cleaning job was easy through every season of the year, rain or snow didn’t matter. I wanted the grounds to be as neat as my apartment was. Your compliments and appreciation for me was well received and I truly will miss those who always complimented my line of work. I’m hoping the new management will have the same activities, and will carry on he legacy of old management, and I will surely be there to celebrate each special occasion. I miss my old stomping grounds, a place I will always love. 10 gold stars for this Apartment Complex.

Moved here in November 2019 Absolutely love it around here.. best apartment we’ve ever had the apartment is very spacious, hardwood (which is a plus for me due to being allergic to carpet) super safe, quiet and the rental office staff and maintenance is phenomenal. It was a easy process leasing we worked with jeanne, malaika and Lauren who were very easy , professional and caring to work with The new staff are great as well. I am a little worried after the contract was sold so I don’t know what that means for us and other tenants down the road
