Jeff was a very good tour guide. He knew a lot along the route and he was witty. We went to Muscle Beach, the Pier there with lots of shops and rides, Farmers Market , Beverly Hills , The Observatory and the Walk of Fame . Get your walking shoes on for your seven hour tour!

My fiancé and I did the 2-hour hollywood city tour because we had some free time and were hoping to see some celebrity homes/famous buildings. We were able to see quite a few homes, although it was difficult to sometimes pinpoint which building our guide was talking about, and a lot of the homes are densely vegetated/fenced so it’s more like we drove by and tried to sneak a peak. We were able to get off the bus at the Beverly Hills park area and take a picture of the sign/pond but overall I’d say the trip was worth more like $40 for 2 people rather than the $78 we paid. It also doesn’t sound like the drivers are well compensated which is pretty ridiculous considering the cost for an adult ticket. I’d recommend Big Bus Tours over this, but if you do decide to go with Hollywood City Tours please tip your drivers!

Interesting and fun ride! My brother has lived in LA for over 25 years and my husband had never been to LA before at all. None of us had done this before and we all loved it. Due to Covid, the lookout on Mulholland where you used to be able to get out for 10 minutes and take pictures is closed. We didn't know that before the tour. Tall people should not sit in the back row. You will hit your head. If it is even a little cold outside, bring a coat. It was about 65degrees when we rode and we froze for much of it. Parking: We parked at a meter on Cole Pl. Don't try to take a photo of the meter app and pay that way unless you stand right by the meter to do it. I got on the bus thinking I could download the app and pay my meter. I was wrong. Thank goodness I didn't get caught. Escaped a $40 ticket, but I'm sure we just got very lucky.

The 2 hour tour wasn't that good, the condition of our tour van was horrible the brakes were metal on metal and very noisy and sketchy and it wasn't an "open air bus" its basically a van without windows the roof is still on... The views were nice and it was okay at first but you never really get close to anything, you see the Hollywood sign for 5 seconds a couple miles in the distance, and I was worried about the brakes going out the entire time on these roads with hundred foot drops. I would never pay for this again and had I known what it truely was would have never took my family, the teens weren't even engaged and the return trip after the break in Beverly Hills was kind of lame just traffic and nothing to brag about. The take away if you get a decent van, you'll see some nice views and about 10 celebrity homes from a distance it's just so, so basically it's something you can say you did but shouldn't be your main attraction by far. I will note the employees I dealt with were nice and no complaints about the actually tour guide he was alright.
