I always drive from Bethesda to this place to buy African food even though there are some African restaurants closer to me where I could just go. Today, I was disappointed that the owner charged me $30 for ogbolo fufu with stockfish and 3 pieces of meat. He charged me twice for the meat and the stockfish separately, instead of just the stockfish that I requested as add on. The menu price is $14 without the stockfish, it doesn't say you should pay any meat that comes with it. Honestly I felt robbed, I understand there is a price inflation going on but you don't have to choose this route. I like transparency. I won't go back.

Who is writing poor reviews here?! It is a family cooking up their cuisine. It's absolutely amazing... If you want a chipotle instead, hey, rockn'roll. I want this!

The aroma of this spot got me to stop!! As soon as I recognized the scent, I was immediately in the mood for some Jollof rice!! So I decided to indulge and patronize @jodeemafricancusine_ !! Located inside of Greenbelt Mall (6000 Greenbelt Rd, Greenbelt Maryland) you’ll find a unique eatery that serves up traditional West African eats. To your palates delight this spot has menu items that include Moin Moin (steamed bean pudding made from a blend of black eyed peas, onions, and fresh ground pepper $2.50), Cassava leaves (International greens, cooked with beef and served over rice $11.99), and even Asaro (Porridge Yam served with fried plantains, and savory chicken$11.99). I chose to delve into some Egusi Soup (ground, rich in protein Egusi seeds, greens, meat and hot spices-pictured $13.99), that came with FuFu (a spongy dough made from pounded starches use to sop up stews, or eaten by itself-pictured ). I got a side of Jollof rice (a tomato based spicy rice-pictured), and topped everything off with 2 puff puff’s (delicious fried dough-pictured 2 for $1). Customer service was welcoming and patient. I knew what I wanted, however this eatery’s servers took the time to accommodate my questions in a very kind manner. Parking...well it’s a mall so it’s available and easy. Overall this spot satisfied my immediate urge for some dope West African food. I KNOW that there are many contenders for this style of grub in this area, I will definitely put @jodeemafricancusine_ in my top 5!! Believe me...try them!! That’s it!! **This establishment is Covid compliant**

Jodeem Jodeem. It’s one thing to move to a new land and it’s another to start your own business in a new land. It’s definitely another scenario having a successful business in this new land! However Mr. Jodeem has achieved this remarkable task. I’ve been a regular here for several years. The food is always fresh The staff is attentive & friendly. I have so much joy in knowing delicious food similar to food from my original country is right around the corner. I’m a fan of the fish stew with red sauce. I love the puff puff! I’ve just been introduced to the pepper soup which pairs well with this time of year. Thank you Mr. Jodeem and your wonderful team!
