Very lackluster and impatient service. I was "helped" by an older Indian gentleman. I came here on a Tuesday morning - 10am. I was the ONLY customer in the department. The way he treated me was by basically giving me the MINIMAL attention possible. When I asked him for help on selecting frames based on my size, he merely pointed to the shelves and told me to pick them myself. When I picked out frames and asked for a quote, he told me he couldn't calculate my vision insurance discount unless I was ready to purchase the frames. This was the most unhelpful optician I've ever encounter. If this is the way the optician treats their customers when they are NOT busy, I can't image how impatient they would be if they WERE busy. There is no way I would let these people handle something as important as my glasses - adjusting my frames/ fit, making sure my prescription is absolutely correct. I've heard positive things about Costco, I'll probably treat another store. As far as I'm concerned, the optician staff training as this location is abysmal. You guys kind of suck. Sorry.

First time going to this Costco’s optometry. When it comes to my annual eye exam, I tend to hop around several Costco optometries in the area, depending on what’s convenient for my schedule. Dr. Ngo was very sweet and friendly. She actually found that the contact lens prescription I’ve been using to be slightly too strong for me. And I was pleasantly surprised the contacts samples she gave me were more comfortable to wear than the ones I’ve been using, so I’ll be switching over to those. I had an overall good experience.

I wish i never went to this Optometry. A friend of mine recommended the Costco Optometry in fountain valley, but I decided to go to the one nearest to me. Now let me tell you about my experience. The doctor was very rude and got frustrated easily because the letters that she was giving me to read were blurry. Yea it is true i can read some of em, but it was very blurry and i was guessing most of em. Once i told her that, she went on talking with an annoyed voice saying that i have to be clear with my answers, now you tell me why would i lie about seeing it clear or blurry? Another thing is i told her my main reason i am here is because the light blinds me at night, then she told me i cant guarantee u the prescription will prevent that from happening, so i asked her what is the solution? Cz i cant drive at night, she goes and say i don’t know theres no solution to it. I left the place dissatisfied with my prescription. I wish i didnt leave. They gave me contacts to try them for a week, but i am going to call tomorrow and ask for a refund because my vision i still blurry even with contacts in. If she can’t do her job well or be patient, then this is not the field she want to be in. I literally was being respectful and honest. There is no reason for me to lie that it was blurry. Never thought i would have a bad experience with costco.
