Love going riding at this park.

My foster Niece had her birthday party here. Good safe location for small children. Horses are allowed to be ridden here as she brought her horse to her birthday party. Nice shady picnic areas. Very large park.

This park is located about 20 minutes south east of Eugene, Oregon in Dexter, OR. The park has beautiful coniferous and deciduous trees, a large dog run, hiking, biking and horse riding trails. There js a parking area for equestrian trailers and an area to saddle horses. There are several trails of varying lengths around the marsh and streams running off the Willamette river. There are wheelchair accessible picnic areas and bathrooms. Some of the trails look even and compact enough for wheelchairs but we didn’t venture down any this time. I would definitely come back here again for some trail walking, biking, fishing and wildlife watching. There are heron and turtle here.

No costs, but closed at night
No overnight on the horse side, it has an on site caretaker. The closest camping site I can think of would be Fall Creek but there may be other recommendations.
The trails that are around the parameter of the park are open to horses and a trail that leaves the park that goes to dexter lake. That trail is on the eastern side of the park.
