Grew up as a teenager here when it was family fitness...how can I not love this place ... They did some nice upgrades the past year.... Has everything a fitness guru would need, and not intimidating for a beginner or anyone looking to join. Staff is friendly and professional.

The equipment is old and beat up and there are way too many members here for the size of the place. Also, the hours on the weekends are ridiculously short for being a "24 hour" ...Sunday the gym closes at 9pm. UPDATE: This place is still the red-headed step child of all surrounding 24 hour fitness centers. Everything here is older and still not updated. This gym really is lacking. UPDATE: The men's bathroom stinks, everything is still beat up... just more so now. Compared to the Foothill Ranch and Ladera facilities this place is an absolute dump.

Saw some people complaining about machine wear and tear.... Gotta say loving previously downtown San Diego by comparison this location is quite nice and less crowded. Desk staff actually enjoy their job too! Good gym

As others have said, the equipment at this location does show its age but for the lower cost of this gym I find that more than acceptable. I mainly use the weight room but from what I have seen, the classes don't compare to most of the higher scale gyms in the area so if classes are a big factor in a new gym decision then I might look elsewhere. This gym does offer a free trial pass so you can test it out without any commitments. There is also a 2 year, one time payment pass that can be purchased at Costco which is a steal compared to the cost of other local gyms. There is a large collection of tread mills, bicycles and exercise machines. The weight room is reasonably stocked with multiple flat and incline benches and dumbbell weights going up past 90 pounds. The gym can get a little bit crowded after work but rarely to the point of having a desired machine be consistently taken. As far as a cost to quality ratio this is a great gym.
