I'm still at the hotel, but so far, I already love it! It's very clean and spacious, like a tiny apartment. Everyone is so helpful. The beach is right there, the sun is shining, and I finally stood up surfing for the first time! We brought our own food, so we don't really have to see anyone if we don't want to. Perfect getaway.

An absolute gem! Other reviews are spot on, it really is such a special, magical little place. We were traveling with both dog and baby and our room had everything; we made lots of meals and always had what we needed. The vibe is super welcoming, the units are incredibly clean and cozy, they even have s’more kits to have around the fire. Literally steps away from the beach. Some reviews have suggested modernizing but that would take away from the charm. The units are older but well cared for so it’s not an issue at all.

Everyone working there was incredibly nice. Like many of the hotels on the Oregon coast with views they are older properties. At the price that Agate Beach is charging I feel it is time for them to update their kitchens & bathrooms. The overall feel to the room was worn out. They need to replace the shower stall, sinks, counter tops. Modernize a bit and replace the worn out door handles, trim, etc.

We'd come back again and again to the Agate Beach Motel!! This place is crazy clean and well organized! Every little detail was well thought of at this cozy destination we've stayed at now a few times, and already booked our room for next year. This staff keeps the property in tip-top shape and the location is unsurpassed to any spot in Newport, for sure!! Can't wait to return next year! Great job team Agate!! Ric and Jill Becker.
