Just outside Government Camp and just minutes from Mt Hood is this little gem. Almost hidden down a hill covered in forest, this place is pretty cool. I think it has 16 sites....all different. Beautiful creek flowing through. Also access to the Barlow trail section of the Oregon trail. Really nice camp hosts too!!

This was our first camping experience on Mt Hood. The campground was very clean and the spots are spaced well, so you don't feel crowded. While this campground is situated in the forest, the proximity to the main road is convenient but you can hear road noise while at your site. There was also a large truck that came through the campsite very early, like before 6am, that was very loud. I think it might have been the truck to clean out the vault toilets. I would definitely camp here again.

This little campground is secluded but close to everything! The sites are far enough apart you dont feel on top of each other. There are only vault toilets but they are always clean and stocked with nice toilet paper. Not sure if you can buy wood there, but plenty of places within a couple minutes drive.

Very small creek, nice hiking. Pub within hiking ditance. Watch out for potholes in the pavement. The Hemlock trail no linger excist except for its bridges crossing the stream.
