There's not much to see in this area, I guess I was expecting a small abandoned town but we only found the mining shaft and a couple of tombstone. It was pretty hot, the trail was narrow and full of sticker bushes..we have our dogs with us and they got real tired from that hike...

Great place to stop for some breath taking views. You can't get down to the water anymore but it's still beautiful!!

Great walking area, dog friendly. Beautiful scenery through the forest. We only went to the old mining foundations. Graves next time. Saw the Graves , and the mine 1300 feet straight down and you can look if want. Great walk for us and the dogs. Nice place for a long walk. Weeds are growing fast. Still some of the best walking trails, kayaking, doggie runs. Really a great time every time I go here.

Franklin Ghost Town is a two mile out and back loop into a historic coal mining town. The town was operational until 1922. There are still remnants remaining 100 years later. You will enjoy hiking along the mountain ridge, seeing a small waterfall, and wading through some colorful rocks along the way.

Not very far but steep I made it down there last fall when it was wet and slippery so you can make it this time if year be careful
