I love hiking the 5 mile trail. I do it every weekend. Amazing experience. There are restrooms, picnic area and water next to the parking lot.

Huge parking lot, bring coins or card to pay $1.50/hr. Various hiking levels available. Skyline is quiet and steep, brings you around to another trail that can connect back to the lot or continue around the lake. Lots of birds... bathrooms were decent.

A very nice little park for an evening hike around the reservoir with your dog. My partner, dog and I stopped by on Friday after work and thoroughly enjoyed a quick hike around the rim trail. There were no bathrooms, water spigots, or waste bins on the rim trail, but plenty if you drop down to the waterfront trail near the reservoir. Beware, parking fees are required for hourly visits ($1.50/hr).

The lower paved trails are for easy strollers around the lake. There are paid parking right with bathroom, water fountain and trail maps. Good place to start the crowded trail. It is not for people with some hiking experience or expectations, for those, I'd recommend 5 miles long upper rim trail, where you could overlook at the lake, a nice view to Mt Diablo, yet get some cardio done, and there is a water fountain near the water tower on the upper trail. You definitely see many wild flowers and interesting plants along this hike. Be ready for it.

Yea plenty of nice spots all ovee.
Yes! Pulled a black-legged (deer) tick off me after hiking the Rim Trail. These can carry various diseases including Lyme Disease. USE REPELLANT!
You can rent a boat only if you are accompanied by a person about 18
On their website under literature, you can download a pdf with information including fees and a map. This pdf includes boat rental rates. The first hour is $15 but subsequent hours are much less. For example 5+ hours is $35. More details are on that pdf doc.
Yes, some of the restrooms are open

+1 to Tony, use Google to find info nuggets like this: Biking Bicyclists and people on roller skates, roller blades and scooters are allowed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon until closing and on Sundays from opening until 11:00 a.m. on the paved Lakeside Trail and roads
Nice place for a picnic.
5-12 i think
I did not find rented boats in thr
You have to pay to park, but its free to get in. If you dont want to pay the meters inside, you can park somewhere else and walk over
No swimming whatsoever. This is a reservoir for public drinking water.
It's currently $7.00 a day, $1.50 an hour, two hours max, or $145.00 for an annual pass, $105.00 for seniors or disabled. I recommend the annual pass.
As you can see it varies depending on how fast you can walk. On average the ~3 miles around the Reservoir trail depending if you walk all the options takes about 1 hour to 1.5 hours depending if you make any stops. The Rim trail is almost twice as long and hillier in 3 locations so expect to take twice as long or longer and always carry water, snacks, cell phone, first aid with you.
I would suggest going to Point Isabel in Richmond. It's Dog Heaven There. It's pretty much a huge park with dogs can swim and run around off leash with other dogs. Best time to go is on Saturday or Sunday around 10 in the morning
No power boats allowed. You may rent a boat from the park system who runs the park.
According to their official website, as of 9/4/17: "Bicyclists and people on roller skates, roller blades and scooters are allowed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon until closing and on Sundays from opening until 11:00 a.m. on the paved Lakeside Trail and roads."
