Went on a Saturday in April. The weather was awesome, 70 sunny no clouds. I enjoyed the windy drive, but take care as there are many bicyclists. You could see SF and distant snow capped peaks from the summit. The hikes are nice, no ticks for us, not Yosemite or Tahoe but still great views. It cost $10 per vehicle to enter, but was worth it.

Great place to hike in the bay. Signs posted at all intersections. Recommend the summit trail from Mitchell canyon visitor center. Very strenuous but fantastic views.

Really beautiful place. Drove up to the upper parking lot and enjoyed the view. Definitely worth a visit!! Already the ride up is amazing!

This is an absolutely lovely state park. My partner and I parked down at Mitchell's canyon, hiked up to Eagle Peak, then to Mount Diablo, and took Juniper/Deer/Mitchell Canyon Road all the back down. I would STRONGLY advise that hikers take the steep route on the way up. The dirt and gravel were pretty loose and it'd be difficult hiking down some of those slopes.

Not if you plan to hike. No dogs allowed on the trails. However they are allowed in the camping and picnic areas as well as on paved roads.
They do have some capacity for first come first served camping. It is mixed in with the non-site specific reservations campgrounds. It's self register at the site. I've never gotten a satisfactory explanation for how they ensure there will be sites available for those who reserve sites in those camp grounds. I've always made reservations.
There seems to be a couple of indoor bathrooms so maybe!
The best
Early bird gets the worm ie barbeque
So they are allowed BUT only in the campsite and picnic areas. They are Not Allowed on trails or fire roads in the park.
Not totally sure but it's something around 7 miles I believe, also the summit is just under 4000ft up so it's a healthy climb going all the way 👍
All picnic areas has their own parking lot beside. You can easily reach it.
Yes, if you go to rock city, there is a trail that follows along side a lot of Boulders. You can follow the path the entire way which is a bit more difficult but still manageable. Or you could just hike along side the boulders and do some climbing before heading back.
Yes go to the california state parks website and make a reservation. Its reservation only and it was about 30$ per night
The park officially opens at 8:00 a.m. but I often see hikers and runners and bikers on many of the trails much earlier than that.
There are accessible campsites at both campgrounds, however there are no hookups for RVs in the whole park.
Yes of course you can, long walk, plenty to see, you can hike up there on one of the trails
I believe to yourself.
Yes
Dogs are allowed only in developed areas of the park. They must be kept on a leash during the day and in an enclosed vehicle or tent at night. Dogs are NOT permitted on trails or fire roads.
No actual address but here are the GPS coordinates 37.89551, -121.911734

At rhe juniper campsite there are showers. Probably coin operated. In that structure there is a possibility of electrical outlets. However at the campsite their are no outlets.
The main gates are $10 per car. There are other entrances besides the main gates (north amd south) which cost less or nothing. For instance, Macedo Ranch Staging area parking is $6. If you park on Regency Drive, come through the Regency Gate, and hike in along Back Creek it is free.
I saw a recorded temperature of 105 at Rock City yesterday afternoon.
