Absolutely gorgeous building. Love the layout and how modern, yet comfortable it is. Tons of rooms for meetings, classes, music, or study. Many computers to use and even a few specifically for teens to use for gaming. I asked for help at the desk and was greeted by a very kind young woman named Leilani. She answered all questions and requests I had right away. She even got up and showed me a section for books I might want to find. She’s a fabulous addition to the library and I want to shout out how great she is!

If I could live here I would. (Husband and baby might object...) Seriously. Hands down one of the best libraries I've ever been to. Can't say enough good about the space and the staff. They have all gone above and beyond to find me books and materials when I needed them for work, and just the atmosphere they cultivate is one of warmth and welcome.

We did the park next to the library. It was solar car chargers with plenty of parking, really new equipment and people were nice. It's just popular but watch out for abandoned masks and trash. Usually busy weekends close to dinner time.

An amazing library, we are lucky to have such a great branch in our city. The amenities are outstanding and the staff are spectacular. Olathe library is so much more than books. They have conference rooms for groups to meet, a coffee shop with tables to chat with friends. A playground for the kids to have some fun after quietly finding books. A quiet room where you can study or enjoy a good book. And of course the makerspace like the pictures show. They have 3d printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, large commercial printer and vinyl cutter. Heat press for making shirts and so much more. All of this is available to citizens of Olathe for free. Plus they will help you learn how to use the equipment. Everyone should take advantage of this resource to it's fullest potential and learn a new skill, meet friends and colleagues to chat, get a book for your children and let them play. We cannot afford to miss out on this opportunity to learn and grow from this library.

I don't know, I've seen people working on laptops, and iPads but didn't pay close enough attention to see if they were the Libraries. I do know you don't have to have a Library card to use the computers.
Yes, the Makerspace is closed on Thursdays. It is open the rest of the week but does close 30 minutes before the rest of the library.
