In humility, I have eaten at many Indian restaurants and cook Indian food as well, I know good Indian food. This is not good. It is bland, no heat, canned carrots and peas. No depth of flavor or marrying of spices. I added one more star because the RAITA WAS THE ONLY GOOD THING. That is me trying to find something good. Out of kindness. Fire the cook or teach him how to cook. Ask for what level of heat the customer wants. Roast your spices and garlic. Use peppers, seemed like you didn't even use any or roast any. Stop calling yourself Indian food until you actually bring that flavor and heat. And buddy if your gonna tell me; sorry we did not meet your expectations our cooking is from north India and may not be what your accustomed to. Don't bother. I will bump this down to 1 star if you do, not that it matters to you lol as I see now you have received many reviews stating this is not traditional Indian cooking. It isn't, it's not even close. I have eaten in Chandigarh and Hyderabad, you ain't pulling the wool over my eyes.

My wife and I ordered from here a ton before and during COVID and it was by far the best Indian food nearest to us. However over the last few months the food has been getting more inconsistent. When it's good, it is still REALLY good. However, recently we've been getting watery separated curry, stale crunchy naan, and dry chicken a lot more often. We're trying a few other Indian restaurants in the area for now, and in a few months we'll check back in to see if Rajmahal is back on their game. For now though, it's just not worth the gamble.

For $15 a head, my husband and I enjoyed the lunch buffet. Wonderful salads and raita along with hot veg and non-veg entrees. Friendly service with hot buttered naan. Spicy chai provided with buffet so we drank up. Exquisite kheer (sort of like rice pudding) for dessert. We had no idea it was here and we found it when we got turned around looking for a different restaurant. One of the best wrong turns we ever took!

Incredible! We’ve lived in Chicago and Washington DC and have enjoyed lots of great Indian restaurants. Moved here recently and found Rajmahal. Ordered take out last night (Butter Chicken and Coconut Curry Chicken)…was so good! And the staff were really friendly when I went to pick it up. Would highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed.
