we got there late at night on 8/7/20. my wife and I decided to spend a few hours in the visitors parking lot since we were so tired and I could not drive anymore. We were approached by a very unfriendly park officer. He was extremely rude . We explained to him that we have been driving from Arizona and are very tired, and we just need a couple of hours. He was very argumentative and forced us to leave even though it was not a safe thing to do. Thanks to the grocery store manager near the park who was kind enough to let us park our van in their parking lot for a few hours. To top it off, when the park officer went back to his car, he walked backwards as if to tell us that I am concerned that you may shoot me in the back. . Where do they find such friendly people. In my 69 years of life, I have never been treated like this.

The train station gift shop is fabulous but the platform is junky as well as trains are always late.

Yup. All over the place. Of course, I am speaking of cars or other small vehicles. An RV might be a different story. If it is an RV for just a night, Kalispell is only 30 miles away.

It is very expensive. But yes there are at least 2 alternative there. Call for quotes first.
