The Oak Aged Wee Heavy Scotch Ale is so good! The NEIPA smells and tastes amazing too. There’s some renovation going on and a bit of mask silliness still lingering. The beer makes the brewery though. Worth a visit.

Warmed by the bright winter sun streaming in through the south-facing windows, I am totally enjoying this Scottish Export style ale, Barred Owl. Malty, with only a hint of hops, this reminds me of an English Mild. Sandhills does it right!

We drove through a snowstorm to check out a kitschy hipster region of metro Kansas City and discover the unique flavors of Sandhills Brewing. The brewery isn't marked well so you might pass it even with Google Maps directing your path. Once we got inside, we were engulfed in a cloud of mash scent. Sandhills was brewing! We were excited to see the breadth of flavor on the draft menu, from a barrel-aged pilsner to an experimental hazy IPA to a 9.8% Wee Heavy, and the list went on. This spot deserves it's higher customer reviews. We'll definitely be back soon!

I was here for work and wanted a cozy place to relax for a bit. This place was AMAZING!!! No only does the staff not accept tips—a very forward thinking and equitable business method, the flavors are off the heezy! You’ve got to try the Blackberry Porter! SO TASTE!

Questions & Answers

Why does your menu not actually show a LIST of the beers you make???

Hi Jr, We brew a wide range of beers over the course of the year. The menu button will take you to our Untappd page, which shows our current tap selection. Cheers!

What about food?

We will be working up towards having a regular rotation of food trucks and community menu items provided by our neighbors. Initially food may be a bit sparse but we are working on it!
