The community overall is nice. However the apartments are just okay and are veering on the side where updates and maintenance is needed quite often. Apartments are spacious and closet size is great but the noise level between apartments is pretty bad. We‘ve had two upstairs neighbors since we’ve lived here and we can clearly hear whenever they’re watching television and walking around. When someone walks around upstairs it sounds like cattle are being herded (this is in no offense to the neighbors themselves but to the construction of the building. It’s either old or poorly built) —beware if you live on the 1st or 2nd floor. The water smells really bad here just a heads up. There is a constant odor coming from drains. This has been brought to maintenance’s attention. The insulation in the apartment is also pretty bad and there is a drafts coming from the windows (this could be just our building I’m not sure). Again community is nice and pretty during the spring and summer time. If you place a maintenance issue they are pretty quick which is appreciated. A recommendation for the community and staff is to add speed bumps as there are individuals who speed in this residential area. At night it’s a bit dangerous if you are walking a pet. Personally I’m ready I find another place to live. Pros- affordable, pool, neighborhood is nicely maintained Cons— building and apartments are getting old and updates are needed, noise level.

Hillsborough Apartments are the best apartments I have lived in so far. They are so clean inside and outside. The apartments are very spacious and have nice decks. I love the hot tubs placed along the walking trail and the amenities are very nice. (I cant wait to utilize them more after the pandemic) The only problem I have is I wish they had security cameras. My boufriends car recently got broken into and had all his things stolen, and they tried to steal the car as well but failed. I emailed Maria about the break in and asked if they had security cameras, and she never replied back to me. I later on found out on my own that they do not have cameras unfortunately.**update** someone also stole my catalytic converter off of my car last night and off of someone else's in the lot too. REALLY wish they had security cameras.

We lived here for a year before we bought our house. It was a fantastic community and we could have quite happily stayed longer had we not wanted to move into a place of our own. The apartment was very spacious with vaulted ceilings and a huge balcony. For the size and location, very affordable.

My boyfriend and I have been at Hillsborough for about 6 months now. I love the location, as it's closer for me to commute to work. Grocery stores and restaurants are less than 10 minutes away. Management and maintenance team's very efficient. I'm amazed at how fast maintenance are in resolving any issues we have.
