Great food but my credit card information has been stolen twice from using their online ordering.

Went in to get the lunch combo (using their coupon for buy one get one for 50%) after I paid I noticed it was $17 I asked her “is that with the coupon?” She said yes. After I sat and waited I realized that didn’t make sense bc the lunch is $7.45. I know I said “lunch combo. I went up and asked about it again and that’s when she claimed that I didn’t say lunch and she assumed I wanted the dinner combo. Why does that make sense when I went there @11:45? The next two separate customers who came in for the lunch price. I know BS when I see it. Is it a big deal? No. Worst case, I have lunch and dinner now. But that’s not what I wanted to do and that’s the point. I feel like she knew what she was doing because of the coupon. I also will acknowledge there is “user error” on my part. I should have stopped before I paid and asked then. And that’s why I’ll be honest with my review and give 3 stars instead of 1 because I could act that way but that wouldn’t be fair to the restaurant. Food was okay/good but the customer interaction had me upset when I left. Wonton soup and egg drop soup was good. Lo mein noodles had a weird taste/texture to them. Almost slimy. The shrimp in lobster sauce is my fav. Good size shrimp. And fried rice was good. Probably won’t go back if that’s how they treat customers who use coupons they give out. That’s just my two cents. Just trying to give an honest review.

If I could, I'd give this place 10/5 stars. I'm not really a fan of Chinese food, but my mom loves it so we get it often and from many different places. China Star was a bit out of our way, but based on the reviews we stopped by. BEST CHINESE I'VE EVER HAD, HANDS DOWN. Nothing was greasy, the rice was perfect, the fried rice was flavorful and had little pieces of pork in it that kicked it way up. I got the shrimp in lobster sauce, because to me the true test of good Chinese is how they make their seafood dishes. It was so good I wanted to lick my plate clean! And it didn't smell overly fishy. The white rice was fluffy and cooked to perfection. The hot and sour soup was nice, rich and spicy. My mom had the lo mien and she enjoyed it. The noodles were flat which was a nice change from the cheap round almost orange ones from most places. Her egg roll was perfect. My son had the sesame chicken and it was perfect, no huge chunks and the meat wasn't fried into oblivion. I was excited to see the egg drop soup wasn't neon yellow like most places. It had a huge amount of egg and the flavor was delicate and salty. We also got broccoli with chicken, a nice basic dish with the perfect amount of sauce and perfectly cooked broccoli. I will be back here every time I crave Chinese food.
