My boys and I spent the morning here paddle-boating, playing putt putt, and a little trail walking. Rentals are inexpensive (I think it was $5 per 1/2 hour for the paddle boat) Park rangers are friendly. It’s a nice & quiet park. While on the water we saw trout, a crane, a turtle. After mooring we found 2 snakes (non-venomous water snakes) by the dock! The first time we came it was to do trail walking & took my kids to the playground. That was also a good experience. Definitely check out!

Amazing park! Trails from .5 Miles to 2.5 miles. Can easily do 5 miles and not see the same thing twice. Very secluded and not a ton of people, which is a huge win for me. Lots of wildlife, beware each time I've been I've seen snakes. But there is a ranger station on site and lots of other things to do. Best in the area A++

If your like me and you love nature and the outdoors then this is perfect for you. I went out here alone, to rent a kayak. Probably one of the most peaceful things ive ever done. Spent $20 which got me 2 full hours on the water. I recommend bringing extra clothes and shoes as I did fall in while docking my kayak. Overall it was great, though. I slept like a baby after. Worth every penny. Also, everything except getting a rental is self service which is a plus, for me.

Beautiful trail! Can get a little muddy on the outer trails. There is a gravel road headed to the river but I suggest stepping off into one of the trails. We found many different spring wildflowers popping up!

Just spent Fathers Day in my own canoe with my dog paddling the Creek. Took two hours to cover the winding tree canopied route there and back. Excellent weather though a few bothersome flies.
Follow the path past the ranger station about 1 mile and you will find moss all over the river.
No long term they close for the winter
I was at the park 3 weeks ago and the "gravel road" was closed to the public ..at that time.
This park is mostly interconnected ponds with fish throughout, if walk to the end you can fish from the dock at the lake. Enjoy! Many Trails to walk as well.
Plenty of pavilions to host outdoor events. The facility also has cabins available to rent. No sure how big a party u have in mind
