I enjoy camping, but this was not camping. The cabins are fully furnished with full kitchens, HVAC, and several bedrooms and bathrooms. It was a nice place to get away from the metro areas and the scenery was pleasant. The quality of the roads was exceptional for a park. The weather was hospitable while we were there and the trip was relatively uneventful, my favorite kind of vacation. I would recommend renting these cabins for someone who enjoys the outdoors, but can no longer handle sleeping outside in the elements.

We camped here at site 18 for a week. Sites are very nice. Bathhouse clean and easy to access. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Hiking trails were well thought out and really work with the surrounding landscape. Made for fun exploring and great hiking.

Stopped by on a chilly spring morning. This place must be hopping come summertime. Lots of water access for swimming and boating. Nice playgrounds and a welcome and very clean restrooms was available. Enjoyed the short trail between the two lakes. Anytime spent by the water is so relaxing, especially in this fun park.

Located near Farmville, we were pleasantly surprised at the moderately difficult Otter Path Trail found at Twin Lakes SP. Take your first left after passing the ranger office, heading toward the swimming area. The TH can be found up the road on the left. We liked the changing elevations and relatively smooth paths and lake scenes. Nice to get a break from dodging roots and rocks on the trails. We both agreed we would like to come back when the foliage returns. 4 miles loop. Park fee. Picnic area & nice swimming area as well.

Swimming in one area because fishing is allowed. And you don't want to get hooked while swimming.
No we do not. Can’t you drive or someone else in the wedding guest group?
We guarantee your site will be ready by 4 but let folks check in early if your site is ready or you can enjoy the park while waiting for it.
I'm not sure, we camped there so it was free. My guess would be 5-10 dollars
Yes we were there 2 weeks ago, no lifeguards but beach and concession is open
