Adorable little naturescape in the middle of the small town. Kind of off the beaten path. There were people fishing in the pond, and we saw deer, rabbits and squirrels while there.

It's a very neat little park with almost no parking so if you want solitude, this may be it.
Rose The Hat
The park has some nice trails and a cool pond, but it’s a fairly small area. The trails aren’t very long at all. There also is a flooding problem. Many parts of the trails were flooded from rain. It’s a nice place if you’re looking for somewhere low-key, but it doesn’t have too much to offer.

Very nice shaded park. Has a picnic table, a trash can, and a bench right next to the pond. Popular with fishermen. There's a large open area that would make a good spot for some yard games, but can be fairly muddy. There is a nice moss-covered trail If you value wooded scenery and don't mind grabbing a stick to take down some spiderwebs here and there. If you prefer a less involved place to walk I recommend the North Ashland Railside park just down the road.

Catfish and pickerel
Public, under DGIF jurisdiction so you need a fishing license.
I have fished the pond once. Only caught a few bluegill and I believe they stocked the pond with channel catfish as well. Nice shaded relaxing spot. The fish are edible of course but will be up to you as to whether or not you feel safe eating them. I have never eaten fish caught from a pond, but I know plenty of others have.
