I bought a car here last year. When I bought a car, people were very enthusiastic. After that, I came here for an oil change and waited for several hours. So after that I decided to cancel the maintenance service here. When I canceled the maintenance service, I was told to wait six to eight weeks to receive the refund. Because I want to sell my car, so I want to cancel my car warranty this afternoon. I came near 5: 00pm, and then I waited for half an hour and no one came to help me. They said they were busy and asked me to come back in an hour. So I went out, and I came back after 6: 30pm. I found someone who told me to wait for an hour, and he said I had to keep waiting.No one came to help me until they closed. Actually, some people were watching their phone and some were chatting. When you go to cancel the service, this is their customer service. Besides, my car parked on the side of the road, and they locked the door there, so I was going to walk around outside and get back to the car. A beautiful day!

Thank you Brian for your amazing customer service, your attention to detail, picking me up from the Amtrak, coming in on your day off to make sure I was taken care of were greatly appreciated. We started off with a little confusion but we were quickly able to turn it around to a postive. Update to my original review 4/22/22, I called and briefly spoke to Brian and he advised me that he was with a customer and would call me back and he never did, you can head over to my yelp review for more details. the service I received from Honda of Oakland service department is the type of service you'd receive from a "gypsy car lot", I would never again do business with Honda of Oakland nor recommend them to anyone"!!

Do not buy a used car from these guys. They sold us a car with a lien on it without our knowledge and it has taken them almost a year to fix the registration issues caused by this. We have been forced to drive an unregistered car that technically doesnt even belong to us yet. Crysta from their financial offices is the only person who is competent.

I had two Toyotas and miss good service. My experience with Honda of Oakland has been horrible. I bought a used Honda Element. I should have done my own inspection but assumed, as a car dealer, they’d have to be up front about significant issues. Upon receiving my car the automatic locks didn’t work and breaks had to be replaced. Glen, my rep, was amazing from day one and tried to help. When I brought my car in they couldn’t fix the lock and my car smelled like cigarettes. Glen said he could offer a couple free services and oil changes. Next week he wasn’t working at Honda any longer. Sammy, the GM l, hasn’t returned calls and I’ve had no luck scheduling a service. From the beginning of the sales process Sammy seemed deceptive and like what most folks my stereotype as a “typical salesman.” I assume Sammy just doesn’t want to deal with things. In short, don’t buy a used car from Honda and if you do go through your checklist of what to look for or bring it to a mechanic.
